Ok, you may not be able to fit inside of your television, though if you have a bit of imagination you can easily envision the world mentioned above. Once your television receives the command to turn itself on, millions of tiny dots are blasted with a strong beam of electrons. These dots are called “pixels,” and they usually come in three colors: red, blue, and green. These colors are then spread onto the screen in an even manner. Once the colors are distributed evenly, the television set can then create the pictures that you see.
The basic idea of the plasma screen is to light up each tiny dot with the hopes that it will emit the three colors (red, blue, and green). The fluorescent light inside of the television set is called “plasma light” and it is made from various free-flowing ions and electrons. Thanks to a bit of scientific magic, those negatively charged particles inside of the television crash with the positively charged ones in order to produce the effect that you see.
